The free check
AI & Search Visibility Check
No cost, no obligation, but maybe just a tiny favour
The AI & Search Visibility Check is a free, one-hour review of how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google answer your buyers' questions, and whether you're in those answers. You get a dated one-page report, a three-minute video and the single fix I'd make first. Two fields. No call, no deck, no questionnaire.
Why does this check exist?
- Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, not just Google
- Those systems quote pages rather than rank them
- You can hold good rankings and still be absent from the answer your buyer actually reads
- The discipline is SAGEO: Search, Answer and Generative Engine Optimisation
- Most businesses have the S covered and have never looked at the other three
What will I check for you?
-
What AI assistants say when your buyer asks about you
- Your buyers' real pre-purchase questions, run through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini
- Recorded verbatim: cited, ignored, or a competitor named in your place
- Screenshotted and dated
-
Who owns the answer box on Google
- Featured snippets and People Also Ask sit above the organic results
- Increasingly they absorb the click entirely
- I check who holds them for your core commercial queries
-
Whether your own information is machine-readable
- Key details in semantic HTML, or locked inside images, JavaScript and PDFs
- Structured data present, and matching what's visible on the page
- AI crawlers permitted in your
robots.txt. They're often switched off by default, which silently blocks everything else
-
Whether you're described consistently
- Models build a consensus view of a business from across the web
- Your site, directories and listings frequently contradict each other
- I check what that consensus currently says
What would this cost you to do yourself?
| Part | Me | You, first time |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · AI recommendation check | 20 min | 1.5–2 hrs |
| 2 · Answer-box ownership | 10 min | 45 min |
| 3 · Machine-readability | 15 min | 2–3 hrs |
| 4 · Entity consistency | 10 min | 1 hr |
| Total | ~1 hr | 5–7 hrs |
- Quicker for me because I do this weekly and know what to look for
- The point isn't the hours. It's that almost nobody runs this check at all
- And it needs repeating monthly, because the assistants change their answers
What do you get?
- A one-page findings report, screenshotted and dated
- A three-minute walkthrough video
- The single highest-leverage fix, named
Findings arrive within three working days of your request, on a private page only you can open.
Two fields. No call, no deck, no questionnaire. You read it or you don't.
What happens after the check?
- Nothing, unless you want it to. The findings are yours to keep
- If you'd like help: a 90-day sprint (paid, fixed fee) to fix what the check found, then a monthly retainer to keep you cited. The full scope
Why is it free?
- I'm building a small number of documented case studies in this discipline
- If the findings are useful and you'd say so later, that's all I'd ask
- If they're not, you've lost nothing and neither have I
How do you ask for one?
Enter your work email and your website. That's all. Your buyers' questions get worked out from your site; if you'd like particular ones checked, email them to [email protected].
Your findings come back on a private page that only you can open. Findings about one company are never shown to another.

Research and drafting are AI-assisted. Every factual claim about your company is verified by hand before it reaches you, and the AI results come from actually running the prompts, not from a tool that estimates them.
